Yet another case where PvPers get favored over PvEers. They get a Ghost Hero, we get a pig. Whoever comes up with your awesome Ideas Gaile needs to be canned. Seriously...

What if there is a birthday specific mini pet that you can only get for certain years? Would that alienate all those players from killing their characters so quickly? I mean that could be one way for A-Net to make something rare for the PvE side (not saying they should). Think about it, HoH chest has to drop something rare. I mean you didn't spent hours on end fighting other team just to get some purple drops or something common.

Quit your complaining. PvP is not favored over PvE, just your perception tells you that.

Well what do you suggest PVPers get as a reward for winning HoH??? Nothing??? Sub-standard common drops which wont sell??? Yeah real good prizes those will be. I can think of a ton of HA only drops which sold for rediculous amount and are not available in PVE yet not one single person has EVER complained about them...

Ever taken a look at the online store? What do you see? PvP ONLY versions of the game. Why can't we ever have a PvE version of the game? If you took the time to make one, Is it so hard to make both? Well according to Gaile it is and it will never happen. How many mini pets are for PvP only? More then are for PvE Only. We get stupid ass hats and they get mini's. And about the hats Anet...enough is enough. Give us something else. The hats got lame a long time ago.

OH MY GOD, pvper's get nothing compared to pve.
WE GET:
1)A new minipet, that has been around for a few weeks.
2) sigils, which are woth a measly 18k
3) flames of balthazar, which you onlyh need if you pvp
4) runic blades, which you can get a green with its skill
5) (gold) crystalins.
pve get
1) around 20 minipets
2) TONS of rare weapons skins, including purple crystalins
3) God awful differnt armor skins
4) HUGE MAP VARIETY - pvpers have to fight in a measily few maps
5) a ton of other things i dont feel like wasting my time mentioning.
thats obviously pvper's getting favored over pvers.
also, pve only version whouldn't work, because off skills available in pve whould have to be unlocked in pvp, which can't happen if you dont own the pvp version, no problem with pvp versions cause thier is no place to cap / buy em.

I think you missed the point of those PvP versions. PvErs dont need to keep updated with the skills to keep competitive against monsters do they?. And take note we dont go fighting for our hats. We get them handed out at events. The mini pets in PvP are earned. And dont start with the BS about PvP being favored over PvE.
And given the choice between a hat or a mini pet i'll take the hat.

Actually ever PvP character is able to get ALL Mini pets. I just checked my PvP mule mesmer and what did she have? A PvE minipet. PvPers have control over guilds. If no one sells Sigils, no one in PvE can make a guild.
Oh and I love the part about not having to update our skills for different monsters. That actually made me laugh. Thank you...

I'm sure there are alot of threads you can troll in to complain how you think PvP gets it better than PvE. Unfortunately, that is not the topic of this thread.
I want a Ghostly Hero, but I don't like HoH.... solution? I don't get a Ghosty minipet, and I'm fine with that. There's loads of people how commonly play HopH who dont have one, so they can sympathise as well.

I think by Gaile's statement that they waited a few weeks to see one was that they knew it was going to be introduced a few weeks ago and today is the day it is introduced.
Happy Birthday John =)

Its not about pvp vs pve,I really dont care, I cant take my pve char into HoH right now
But what I am saying is that some people(like me) arent very good with pvp and the builds your party use, ive tried the, what it called? necro healer, it sucks, so much stress and so many lives in your hands
so no im not saying that pvp shouldent get a mini, good for them, but im just speaking out for the pvp dummies

I count roughly 21 PVE only mini pets.
Not sure if you have problems counting but from my quick count there are waaaaaay more PVE only ones than PVP only ones....
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Your behaviour really says it all. Getting a hat is alot easier than winning a Guild Wars Championship or winning HoH for that matter.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Please what do you suggest PVPers should get for winning the Guild Wars Championship??? A mini titan? I am sorry if you feel that obtaining a hat is an equal accomplishment as winning a championship.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You are aware that Anet needed to increase the number of Asian players and exclusive items would be a good incentive. Unless you object to an increase in players from Taiwan etc? I think its a great idea. Anything which increases the player base and diversity of Guild Wars.

Well a pvp dummy really shouldnt be winning HoH. No offence. Its like a group of 1st day playing guild wars expecting to clear uw or fow. Its not really meant to happen.

Um... obviously you know what you are talking about as until very recently any seroius pvp character would reroll them constantly so guess what? no standard mini pets for them! GW PVP effects PVE alot i.e. skills changes. Clearly you have a MASSIVE hate of pvp so im confused as to why you still play gw as like I said pvp is and will always affect pvp drastically. PVP wont go away.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If PVPers had it so great why until recently were some using pve characters to take advantage of pve only stuff??? i.e. hod helm.
PVPers get a few gold drops and sigils from the chest. pvers get literally hundreds of items. pvers get 15k and fow armor which pvpers dont get.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
O and btw I am a hardcore PVEer and i have always preferred pve to pvp since playing guild wars which was in june/july....

so it is 100% true now, anet loves pvp.
Thats the only reason for all those hoh drops.
Why else would you explain a stygian axe that sells for 103920398 ectos and only comes from hoh.
tsk tsk, tsk tsk I say
Lately I've been becoming very disappointed with GW and a lot of the people that I know as well.

I'm surprise no one had said this line "mini pets doesn't concern Guild Wars" I mean we don't do anything with these mini pets other than to show it off in towns. Why should we get worked up on something that PvPers got for winning Hall?

You can deny it all you want, but PvP is the endgame. The endgame is not killing mindless mobs of enemys to get items.
Almost all PvP players played PVE at some point, but many realized that PVE was limited and easy, they chose to move on to challenging competitive gameplay, instead of playing repetetive button mashing damagefests against static AI that does not adapt to what anyone does.
If you really want a ghostly hero minipet, buy one, if you are as good at PVE as you say you should have enough gold.

#1 Jealousy
#2 Unobtainable for them whether it be through PVP or lack of gold.
#3 Hatred of PVP
#4 "They have something we dont attitude"
I cant think of any other rational explanations to be honest.

Made me lol. I wont go into a gold making debate here as its inappropriate but any good PVEer knows how to make gold quickly and efficiently.

I count roughly 7 PVP only mini pets.
I count roughly 21 PVE only mini pets.
yea, 21 PVE minipets, price from 5k-100k+20 ecto
PVP minipets? from 500k-like 8-10milions?
but i would appreciate if there are SPECIAL minipets for PvE title hunters, like exclusive minipets for players with KOABD, then another for gaining People Know Me and another for I am very important (yes, there SHOULD be REWARD for this titles, not only some words under your name...)

Well its obvious you cannot count. All PvE minis are attanable by PvP characters. So therefore PvPers have access to 28 minis. well 27 minus the pig. But Bone dragons, whiptails, hydras, charr, etc. can all be obtained by PvP toons. Dont do half assed research next time if you wish to prove a point. k?

i wont comment on the prices as they are to do with economy and a mod already said no economy discussion. the price of 8-10 mil is waaay wrong.
i think winning a gw championship is harder than say getting a 1 year old char. a bone dragon for a 1 year old char is getting a very sweet deal as anyone no matter what ability could possibly get one. getting to championship standard then winning the championship is very very time consuming and imo the prizes are totally justifable.

Whats with all the rude language???
The ghostly hero and asian only mini pets were obtainable from people playing pvp, correct? they actually had to pvp. so we are talking about pvp players here and how its unfair on pve players. why would a pvp player have a pvp char which is one year old if they until recently they would reroll it regularly??? your beef is with pvpers getting the gh mini pet from playing so why are you attacking storage chars? as lets face it the only reason you would have a 1 year old pvp char is for storage. i wasnt aware pvpers needed storage??? must be for pveers to fill up with their stuff. so looks like any 1 year pvp char was used as a pvpeers mule. a pvpers with a pvp 1 year char would use it for storage for their pver chars. yes the mini pets are obtainable on a pvp char but lets face it i couldnt see any reason why a pvper who still plays has a 1 year old pvp char unless they used it for pve reasons i.e. storage.
half assed research? no. how many pvp players actually have 1 year old pvp chars??? i would think barely any. does it really matter? no
seems most people on here think the idea is fine. just a few bitter people who are complaining. please also explain how i have seen a number of long term pveers here support the idea?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A quick look at your post history shows a large number of posts complaining about pvpers getting advantages over pve or just complaining about pvp. A nice posts in reponse to one of yours I have found, sums up what I am seeing here quite nicely.

Also, had you actually bothered reading the thread, you'd see that we're not complaining about heros being "uncounterable;" in fact, they're not very hard for any organized group to beat at all. This entire issue is about people exploiting heros to turn pvp (player versus player) into 1 guy and 5 NPCs, which is a total joke.
And aside from the fact that I know for certain a good bit of the people in this thread are rank 9, 10 and 11+, what the hell does rank have to do with anything? This is an issue that effects anyone who enjoys the HA arena...

BWAHAHAHAHAH omfg I RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing love ignorant PvE nubs!!!! Hahahaha
Ok, so let me get this straight. You're saying, that because the HoH Chest drops Rare gold items as well as a extremely rare mini pet, PvP is favored over PvE? HAHA. Off the top of my head, here are some things Anet has done exclusively for PvE
All the holiday festivals/holiday events,
Elite Missions,
Titles,
All the PvE armor/weapons,
aaaand more, but I'm in a hurry to watch Prison Break!
What have they done for PvP?
RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed up the old 8v8
Nerfed the shit out of builds
Created maybe 10 worthwhile drops, which can only be obtained when you win HoH and get very lucky,
Created emotes, which I must say kick ass.
But anywho, long story short, PvE has become much much more favored thant PvP. gg

To alot of people the endgame is killing mobs in a team with a guild and trying out different builds also the higher level mobs can be challenging and fun.
Anyone notice alot of PVPers seem to be arrogant elitists ?, people dont go to pvp due to it being the 'end game' they go because the guild theyve joined is PVP orientated.
Dont think just because you PVP your better than PVE players. PVP and PVE are completely different and require completely different tactics, strategy and knowledge.
Regarding the minipet, i think the reason PVE players are pissed off is because the truly valuable items can only be got PVP, We want gold versions of the rare skins(crystaline, drawven) with rediculously low drop rates. So they can maintain the value and be obtainable by both
